The T-type CNC 5 Axis High-Speed Horizontal Machining Center provides the utmost in machine uptime and versatility through the quick changing of spindles to respond to changing work demands and spindle life considerations.

  • The table and column bases are made of machine tool grade castings. The machine’s robust design provides superior vibration dampening characteristics to allow heavier cutting, improved surface finish, accuracy, and tool life to accommodate the demands of High Speed Machining.
  • The column and the table beds are positioned to form a T-type frame. The column is secured to the saddle, and linear roller guide ways provide accurate motion of the milling head saddle up and down (Y-axis).
  • The milling head is equipped with a hydraulic counterbalance system. Travels of the table, column, and milling head are accomplished by pre-loaded, precision ball screws of 80 mm in diameter.
  • The column design is the portal type (O-Type) with the milling head saddle fully enclosed and supported on both sides. This symmetrical design provides both high rigidity and increased thermal stability. The symmetry of the column allows for minimal distortion from the inevitable heat buildup that occurs in machining operations, leading to much improved cutting characteristics and accuracies.
  • The contouring milling head is designed to accept cartridge spindles allowing quick changeover for significantly reduced downtime for service, and to provide a means to convert to the most economical combination of spindle speeds, horsepower, and torque to accommodate varying work-piece materials.
