V40G - CNC Vertical Grinding Center
The Vertical Grinder provides highly precise grinding of large bearing rings and similar parts. Achieved total surface deviation is 1.4 microns (over 12 mm of trace length).
- Harmonic Free Machine due to:
- The base and column of the machine are built with a solid polymer casting. The superior vibration damping qualities of the polymer casting (10 times that of cast iron) allow a dramatic improvement in cutting conditions, part finish, and accuracy.
- Hydrostatic rotary table.
- Direct torque motor for constant speed rotation and contouring.
- Electromagnetic chuck.
- Pre-loaded ball screws on all linear axes.
- High precision HEIDENHAIN linear scales for all axes feedback.
- One grinding head for one or two Spindles, CNC controlled adjustable tilt to +/- 60 degrees.
- Available dressers: a sweep style single point diamond radius dresser with E-axis for radius size adjustment and wear compensation a CBN straight dresser, and a diamond roll dresser.
- AC feed motors with digital drives and high resolution encoders to allow extremely slow feedrates.
- Full enclosure complete with mist extraction unit.
- 10-position automatic tool changer.
