V40TG - CNC Vertical Turning Center with Milling and Grinding Capabilities
The machine is capable of turning, grinding, milling, drilling and/or tapping in just one setup, eliminating need for multiple machines and multiple setups.
- The machine provides turning, grinding and milling/drilling. In the turning mode the spindle is blocked from rotation.
- The machine is built with a solid polymer casting base. The superior vibration dampening qualities of the polymer casting (10 times that of cast iron) allow improvement in cutting conditions, part finishes and tool life.
- The crossrail is a box shaped casting which is fixed to the columns.
- The bearing surfaces of the machine are monorail type linear rollers. This system provides high accuracy, excellent rigidity and speed.
- The machine is equipped with the dresser.
- The table runs on the precise bearing and is powered by the direct drive. The bearing assembly is designed to ensure the uniformity of table rotation and its resistance to vibration.
- The machine is equipped with a 24 position automatic toolchanger. The tools are protected from chips and coolant while in the carousel by the steel covers of the machine and a retractable door. A powerful air blast is provided while in the tool change cycle to provide further protection from chip intrusion.
- The Olympia V40TG is supplied with a GE Fanuc 18i-TB CNC control.
